Advanced SmartRead techology combines two systems: Fuzzy Logic Inflation and Controlled Deflation. With the press of a button, the monitor sends an internal siginal. This signal, called Fuzzy Logic, causes the cuff to automatically inflate to a determined level. The second feature, Controlled Deflation, readds and senses the amount of pressure in the cuff. The pressure is then steadily released through an electronic micro-valve with the blood pressure and pulse rate simultaneously displayed on the screen.
